SS501 in GS25 ‘Pepero Day’ Promotion

GS25 (Korea’s leading convenience store chain) held a Pepero Day promotion
by giving away SS501 Goodies for their customer.

GS25 is giving away these following prizes :

1. SS501 stage costumes for 5 people
2. SS501 signed CD for 300 people
3. ‘Fortune Salon’ Movie Premiere ticket for 200 people & Movie Tickets for 2500  people (1 person/2 tickets)
4. SS501 Poster (Customer Arrival Gift)

Pepero Day is an observance in South Korea similar to valentine’s Day.
It is named after the Korean snack Pepero and held on November 11,
since the date “11/11″ resembles four sticks of Pepero.

The holiday is observed mostly by young people and couples,
who exchange Pepero sticks, other candies, and romantic gifts.

Lotte denies starting the holiday
and instead states that they noticed a bump in Pepero sales around November 11th
and after continued popularity
they decided to then encourage the holiday with special gift boxes and other promotions.
